P. Tracy Currie

President & Founder

Tracy Currie is a results-oriented, seasoned executive with extensive outsourcing experience spanning application and infrastructure outsourcing in executive and operating roles.

Mr. Currie’s leadership experience as both an outsourcing customer in Fortune 500 IT departments, service provider with a publicly traded systems integrator, SaaS vendor and technology CEO convinced him to found Capto Consulting to pursue his vision of dramatically improving the operating and economic effectiveness of IT Outsourcing engagements for both users and service providers.

In his roles as an IT executive, service provider executive and technology CEO, Mr. Currie has initiated, rescued and supervised numerous outsourcing relationships with an emphasis on large, complex, international outsourcing arrangements.  His roster of outsourcing clients includes McKesson, T-Mobile, Virgin, Toyota, The Hartford, Global Crossing, Fedex, Blockbuster Video, Maersk Line, BskyB, Ameritech and United Airlines.  He has considerable experience with all steps of the outsourcing lifecycle, from discovery, business case and vendor selection through transition, rescue and in-sourcing.

Mr. Currie serves as member of the Program Faculty at the University of Tennessee, Center for Executive Education where he teaches and leads research in the application of Vested Outsourcing in IT.  Mr. Currie is currently leading a multi-phased study of IT Outsourcing by the Fortune 1000 for the University of Tennessee.

Mr. Currie has extensive experience in the software, logistics, telecommunications and healthcare industries.  He received his B.S. in Computer Science Engineering from Montana State University.

 

John Piccone

Partner

John Piccone is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in rapid, fixed price, fixed time application outsourcing, systems integration and IT leadership in executive and operating roles.

Mr. Piccone’s leadership experience as CIO of a Fortune 100 automobile company, service provider with publicly traded systems integrators and business executive of two new media companies have exposed him to the best and worst outsourcing practices from the perspective of both outsourcing customers and service providers.  

Mr. Piccone executed a large corporate data center outsourcing arrangement in the early days of outsourcing and pioneered the commercial success of rapid, fixed time, fixed price application outsourcing for Fortune 1000 clients.  He focuses organizations on the true business value of IT and outsourcing initiatives, structures application outsourcing to ensure success and quickly assesses the root causes of troublesome outsourcing relationships.  He has supervised outsourcing relationships for Subaru of America, JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Standard & Poors, Dow Jones, Prudential Insurance, Metropolitan Life, AIG, AT&T, MTV Networks, Ingersoll Rand, Nobody Beats the Wiz and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  He has considerable experience with all steps of the outsourcing lifecycle, from discovery, business case and vendor selection through transition, rescue and in-sourcing.

Mr. Piccone has experience in the automotive, financial services, media, telecommunications, retail and healthcare industries.  Mr. Piccone received his B.Sc. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, attended medical school at Saint George’s University School of Medicine and studied Computer Science in the Moore Graduate School of Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.

 

William F. Hackett

Principal

Bill Hackett is a seasoned operations and finance executive with demonstrated leadership experience with technology driven content solution and healthcare service providers. 

Mr. Hackett has a track record of success in redefining strategy and creating operational excellence with positive bottom line results.  Early in his career with The Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, he honed his business analysis skills.  Later, as an executive in one of D&B’s operating companies, he worked with the IT group in providing business information products, negotiated transfer pricing of data among business units, and performed analysis for appropriation of IT related capital equipment.  As a senior executive for Bloomberg LP Data Operations, Mr. Hackett was an internal customer of the IT group, relying on them to deliver efficient data capture capabilities for analyst teams and information presentation screens for Bloomberg customers based on specifications provided by his team.  

Mr. Hackett has been CEO or CFO of several early stage technology driven enterprises – including Cirqit, Healthcare Automation Inc, and CareGain – where he was responsible for articulating and executing corporate strategy, including technology procurement and software development, and managing P&L.  He has also provided consulting services, including business process creation and software development management, to several technology start-ups.

Mr. Hackett brings domain expertise in the business information, media and healthcare industries.  He earned an MBA from Columbia University and an AB from the College of the Holy Cross.

Jim Kozlowski

Principal

Jim Kozlowski is a senior datacenter & IT infrastructure executive with strong finance experience.  He has created comprehensive business & product strategies driving high revenue growth & cost improvements for colocation, hosting and managed services offerings.  He has expertise in the datacenter hosting markets including supply & demand dynamics.

Mr. Kozlowski led the colocation business unit and datacenter strategy at Savvis for four years.  He guided the datacenter strategy for 28 datacenters and 1.5 million square feet of space including the development of the business cases for eight new datacenters.  He worked closely with datacenter operations to remove costs, improve operations and increase customer satisfaction.  Prior to Savvis, Mr. Kozlowski held several senior roles in product, finance, and internal audit at Qwest Communications and KPNQwest in Amsterdam.  He has worked on several IPO’s and provided due diligence evaluations on numerous merger & acquisition transactions as well.  He has also consulted on several large IT outsourcing engagements.  Mr. Kozlowski started his career at Deloitte & Touche.

He holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Detroit.

 

Michael Landesman

Principal

Michael Landesman is an experienced leader in technology and data center operations.  Working with startups and Fortune 500 companies, he has guided the data center strategies of nearly one million square feet of raised floor. 

For over 20 years, Mr. Landesman has headed technology operations in multiple industries including entertainment, automotive, healthcare, and life insurance.  For the past 12 years, he has held the position of senior executive at leading collocation, managed hosting and cloud storage companies Exodus Communications, Savvis, Rackspace Managed Hosting and Nirvanix.  He has also consulted with worldwide companies including Expedia, Microsoft, Technicolor and Sony Pictures Entertainment/Imageworks on their data center strategy and operations.

Mr. Landesman received his BS in Information Technology from the University of Redlands in Southern California.

 

Julie Lane

Principal

Julie Lane is a strong operational leader with strong business insight for bottom line results in both  growth and recession-based markets.

As a results driven professional, Mrs. Lane has demonstrated success in Compliance, Quality, Customer Service, and Global Operations with detailed expertise in ITIL, ISO, PCI, HIPAA, SAS70 and Safe Harbor Certifications.  Mrs. Lane has 15 years experience with Executive level responsibility in Global Companies and has managed a corporate-wide Privacy and Security Compliance Program.

Mrs. Lane brings to Capto her proven ability in complex program management along with her passion for process documentation and control.  She is a keen strategist with operations expertise and track record for maximizing performance of limited resources and appropriate application of technology to solve business problems. 

During her career, she has provided corporate strategy and program management for both PCI and Safe Harbor Certification programs.  She has led the development and implementation of ISO 27001 and SAS70 programs and has managed the associated internal audit functions in support of those programs. 

Ms. Lane has deep expertise in quality management and process initiatives including: ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, and Service Level metrics.  She has successfully led Change Management,  Problem Management, Compliance Management, and Quality Auditing progams on a global scale. 

Ms. Lane received a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from San Jose State University.

 

Susan Meshako

Principal

Susan Meshako is an accomplished information technology leader in the healthcare, insurance, financial services and retail industries with twenty years of accomplishment in business and technology transformation, program management, software development and systems integration in both traditional and leading edge environments, as well as business and technology operations and professional services. She has been responsible for software development, large scale deployments and technical management in a variety of roles including CIO and CTO of Fortune 500 and other publicly traded and start-up companies and independent strategy and technology consultant to Fortune 50 companies.

Ms. Meshako has been successful in developing strategies for, planning and managing complex, enterprise scale initiatives in a number of environments and industries. She has extensive experience with multiple development and project management methodologies across all phases of the SDLC, offshore development, outsourcing, vendor management and project and organizational assessments and turnarounds. She has led large organizations and project teams comprised of IT and operations staff, consultants and technology vendors across multiple organizations and geographic locations for companies such as PepsiCo, Aetna Health Plans, Aetna Physician Management Company, Oxford Health Plans, Canadian Royal Bank, National Grange Mutual and deNovis.

Ms. Meshako holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Connecticut, A.S. in Nursing from Quinnipiac University, has completed coursework in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Northeastern University and is a Registered Nurse.

 

Frank Sheeman

Principal

Frank Sheeman is an accomplished executive with repeated success achieving aggressive objectives for both high growth and distressed companies in the internet, hardware and OLTP technology industries. Frank has held executive positions at key service providers within the industry. Recently he was CEO of China Managed Services, a Cayman Islands Corporation with subsidiaries in California and Shanghai. Prior to that he was the founding CEO and COO at KSR, a Managed Service company. Frank has also held executive positions at Exodus, Cable & Wireless, and Savvis focusing on the Managed Services and Security business segments and at Tandem Computers focused on OLTP technology.

Frank brings to Capto extensive experience in transforming technology and internet security operations to accomplish rapid growth, increased profit, and operational excellence. Frank is also serves as our expert on developing and growing business in China.               

Mr. Sheeman received his B.Sc. Civil Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Masters Management Science from Texas Christian University.

Nick Vennaro

Principal

Nick Vennaro is a technologically attuned thought leader with an absolute focus on commercial outcomes.   Mr. Vennaro has more than 18 years of multi-national business management, software development and systems architect experience.  Mr. Vennaro is the former VP of Architecture at Cigna Health Plans, the CTO and technical visionary for LearningBrands – a breakthrough software platform for brand management, and the leader of numerous multi-national software development efforts. 

Mr. Vennaro is a healthcare industry expert, working with a variety of companies in the following areas – insurance, hospital management, homecare, medical practice management, federal government, and medical content delivery.   Mr. Vennaro has led numerous enterprise scale initiatives in the healthcare domain including:  business process reengineering efforts, new business venture analysis, provider credentialing systems, salesforce.com integration, and has pioneered a major federal government effort which is the largest implemented SOA based system in the country.

In addition to Mr. Vennro’s extensive healthcare background he has also held leadership positions in the following industries;  retail, transportation/logistics and financial services.  He has extensive experience in offshore development, data warehousing, system architecture, and project turnarounds.

Mr. Vennaro was graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Masters degree in Computer Science and he holds an MBA in Finance from University of Hartford.
